Creative people have ideas that make things happen. It was long before scientists thought they could reach into space that visual artists and writers imagined what it would be like. It took scientists and technicians a couple of hundred years to catch up.
As it was with sunsets. Prehistoric humans will have taken note of the sunset as a way to forecast next day's weather - but it took artists to show us how beautiful they are.
