Subject: an art deco painting inspired to the legendary chinese bearded blue dragon, which is usually described as a fierce beast; but here he is shown near an oriental girl, which is not afraid of him; they friendly stay near each other, surrounded by cherry blossoms and other flowers, celebrating the Dragon lunar new year.

For this painting I used both painting brushes and palette knife to give to the subject its depth in space and its touch of impressionism and I used a Winsor&Newton stretched canvas and high quality oil colors.
