The last few days of January were very cold with frosts that stayed all day. The coldness and hard ground inspired me to create this painting to symbolise an early start on a cold day when the welcome sun clears away the clouds for a bright day. Painting is presented with edges painted to tone with the painting. Signed bottom right in pencil, titled signed in full and dated on the reverse
