Description
An original watercolour picture in landscape format, on Windsor & Newton Cotman 140lbs paper.
A small group of Bush Buck rest in the grass on a steep slope in the Matobo hills, Zimbabwe. There is a bit of dead ground between these antelope and the acacia karoo trees. They are small trees, but it makes the Bush Bucks look enormous.
They are not, being smaller and stockier than a roe deer. It is artistic licence, if I dare say.
This picture was painted back in 2009 at the Bury St Edmunds library.
