The Morning After the Night Before Oil

After an evening walk with the Ramblers through fields around a nearby village, I was impressed by the subtle evening colours . It was that time in the evening when colours are a bit bleached. The fields just about ready for harvest were very pale trees were a neutral colour that is hard to tie down, sky was a quiet combination of cream and grey. The following morning the painting was started, I had envisaged a quiet serene painting but it developed into something more spirited using the evening colours.
