This painting was inspired by a David Attenborough documentary which include a clip of an angry male orangutan demonstrating its feelings to a mechanical digger involved in the demolition of an area of rainforest. The orangutan is critically endangered. Their rainforest habitat is disappearing at an alarming rate. For humans this is a double whammy - threatening biodiversity and accelerating climate change.
