Description
Riderless horses are running through the water towards the shore. They are white horses with orange light of the setting sun and the blue of the shadows. The water also reflects these colours, though I have used a white stippled effect for the splashing water, which is being kicked up by the legs and feet of the horses. There are six horses, four of which are looking towards the viewer, and the bright orange sun reflects off their noses and sides. Deeper, darker water is shown behind the horses and it is an inlet shown by to low green trees in the background, which gives the piece more colour interest.
The painting is on a gallery-wrapped canvas that can be either hung as it is or put into a frame. I have painted the edges for hanging without a frame, and it is strung ready for hanging.
I love to paint animals and give them expression.
This painting will be shipped in a cardboard box.
