Planes of Sky Acrylic

Part of series of paintings, I developed these by taking the shapes that I see in the landscapes around me, the open fields and flat planes of sky of Lincolnshire where I live and piecing them together to give a patchwork effect. The limited palette gives a harmonious feel to the piece, and building up the paint in layers gives a depth to the colour. This is the only remaining painting of the original series, the others hang on walls around Lincolnshire. I recently bumped into one of the owners who informed me it was the only thing he took with him when he left his wife!

This is an acrylic panting on stretched canvas and is ready to hang. A simple frame could be added but is not necessary.
