NORWEGIAN WOOD - The Story
The initial photo that started this art work was taken in a pine forest in Stabbursdalen, Norway. Lay on my back with a wide angle lens, I captured the enormity of the giant pines reaching into the sky. Whilst I don’t claim to have captured above the glorious pines, the eagles and plane all at the same time, I can assure you they were there. With all the midges I put up with for my art, I was due some artistic license.
Both the daffodils and iris’s were from my own garden and I know are not native to Norwegian pine forests. (Poetic licence to tell a story).
The story I am telling in this picture is a simple one and it is a path well trodden. The dichotomy of humankind, our desire to protect and love our planet whilst we destroy it simultaneously.
CUSTOMER INFORMATION
All my artwork works are digital creations. There are separate layers of drawings laid on top of each other using the same methodology as David Hockney’s digital drawings “Fresh pictures of a very beautiful world”.
The portraits are drawn almost like a police photo fit. There is also layering of colour and all pieces are manipulated digitally 100’s to 1000’s of times. This allows for a complexity and texture in my electronic works.
To create even more depth and texture each work of art is printed onto finest art photographic paper, using the Giclée Hahnemühle print methodology.
Every print is numbered and priced accordingly, with a border.
The picture will be shipped in break resistant packaging within 14 days of payment.
