Artistic background

I gained a degree in Physics and worked as a Nuclear Physicist in Dorset.
I have found science and art are intrinsically linked. I believe there is as much beauty in an equation as there is in a picture or painting.

I have spent my life on computers and when I discovered people enjoyed the art I created I blossomed and became an artist full time.

The thinking behind my more serious art work is in some part geosocial realism and in others an expression of the anxiety of being.

I love to capture a moment and develop it, often in a way that is unexpected. My pictures are beautiful stories, enigmatic and sometimes dark tales of people and places.

I have a playful side in my art and I often create serialist pet pictures. This genre allows me to create magical pet pictures of which I do commissions.

CUSTOMER INFORMATION

All my artwork works are digital creations. There are separate layers of drawings laid on top of each other using the same methodology as David Hockney’s digital drawings “Fresh pictures of a very beautiful world”.
The portraits are drawn almost like a police photo fit. There is also layering of colour and all pieces are manipulated digitally 100’s to 1000’s of times. This allows for a complexity and texture in my electronic works.
To create even more depth and texture each work of art is printed onto finest art photographic paper, using the Giclée Hahnemühle print methodology.

Every print is numbered and priced accordingly.
