Description

Many years after the wall felt the tread of Roman Legions, it is now roamed by sheep -standing on the stones as if guarding this magnificent landscape.
I walk this area many times, sketching and photographing it. I painted this oil on canvas and loved incorporating animal life into the overall landscape.
