Front Door Acrylic

This painting is inspired by my trip to Belgium 2 years ago.
During our walk on the streets of Bruges we saw entrancing front doors. Every house there has
distinctly coloured, striking doors. I took a lot of pictures and this painting is one of them.
I chose a hardboard for this painting as it gives a firm and solid feel to its wall and door.
I used a monochromatic colour scheme with shades and tints of green and blue, adding light texture with palette knives and brushes.
Painting with a limited colour palette makes it challenging for me as I like mostly bright and vibrant colours in my work. What makes it interesting is that painted in bold dark colours still gives the feel of sunshine, spring and the touch of metallic bronze makes it richer and gives the festive feel to it. It's an ideal piece of bold art for a confident owner.
Ready for your own choice of mount and frame, the size of the hardboard is detailed below. The original artwork comes with my signature on the front and a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
