I am mainly self-taught; and have recently returned to painting after a long break whilst raising my young children. This year, I entered the Sketch for Survival art competition; I was delighted that out of over 3000 entries from around the world, my painting was chosen to be part of the Highly Commended selection.I love to use bright colours and clean lines in my pictures, which are always inspired by nature. I tend to look at a variety of images to get a feel for the area I would like to depict, then paint mainly from my imagination.
