Dianne Elsworth
ChesterfieldArtistic background
I have been drawing and painting for most of my life, but professionally since 2000. I consider my style to be self-taught, although I studied art and design at Lancaster FE College and textile design to degree level at Manchester, where drawing and painting played a large part. After leaving college, I worked as a freelance designer, designing wallpaper and fabrics for an international market for many years. In 2000, I found I needed a different type of outlet for my creativity and started to paint my houses and farm buildings. I began selling my first paintings from a small gallery in Buxton.
