Type of artwork: I try to catch the essence and feel of the subject rather than a totally true representation. My painting accentuates the good bits, and lessens the bad bits. Sometimes the least possible information creates far more interest in a painting than all the tiny details.

I am happy to sell to buyers in England, Scotland and Wales, only.

Artistic background

I've been an artist all of my life, I’ve never stopped since I first picked up a crayon as a toddler, and had my first commission at the age of 13. I've always loved a creative challenge.

After passing A-Level art I explored my own artistic talents by honing my artistic style through experimenting with ideas and colours, studying with many diverse and talented tutors at art workshops, becoming technically proficient and consequently settling on the working method that now guides me through my creative procedures.

As a professional artist I am equally competent in watercolours and oils, although I currently find acrylics the best medium for my artwork. I have painted many diverse subjects and had my artwork published. I have won top awards in local art exhibitions, exhibited around the UK and sold to buyers across the UK, and around the world.

During my travels I've seen the cherry blossom, pagodas and koi ponds in Japan, walked on the Great Wall (near Beijing), seen the Terracotta Army (Xian) and walked along the Bund (Shanghai), in China. I've seen the sun rise at Machu Picchu, and walked by Lake Titicaca in Peru, stood by the magnificent Iguazu Falls and seen such talented tango dancers in Argentina, seen the sun set in New York, seen the temples of Bangkok in Thailand, the two oceans converge at Cape Point and been up Table Mountain in South Africa, walked over the Sydney Harbour bridge, travelled the Great Ocean road, eaten dinner at sunset near Ayres Rock (Uluru) in Australia, seen the mountains, bubbling mud geysers, and empty sandy beaches of New Zealand, haggled in the souks of Dubai, seen the pacific and Atlantic oceans in both sides of North and South America, the night lights of Hong Kong and Singapore, the Colosseum and ancient ruins and St Pauls in Rome, the bridges and statues of Florence, the canals of Venice, Amsterdam and Bruges, marvelled at the superyachts in Monaco, stood under the Eiffel tower in Paris and walked on the beaches of all the coasts of France, seen the islands of Greece and swam in the turquoise seas of Turkey, sat on a beach in Fiji, seen the Gothic splendour of Prague, marvelled over the Grand Canyon, seen the lights of Las Vegas and been driven over the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, walked on Sugar Loaf mountain, and by Copacabana beach Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and the beaches, castles, gardens of Wales and England.....
All of these gorgeous sights have inspired me as an artist to create my art.
