rayleighI have been drawing or painting most of my life after achieving A level Art at school a year before most others wer offered the exam, which I was very pleased with.I always tackled any art related opportunities that came my way including a period of motorcycle custom painting one of which was featured in a well know bike magazine of the time with rave revue.( i still have the mag )but really excelled when a work colleague asked for a particular painting to be copied and gave me the challenge when he said " bet you cant do this..."well it exceeded his expectations and I was commissions for 2 or 3 more paintings to do for him .This also led to my name getting around in the Bank I worked and this in turn led to a number of commisions from employees .The bank also put my name forward to the main office in New York for me to paint the chairmans portrait but I lost out to and American artist..fair enough!!!!!Before this I attended everning class in sculpture and went on to sell some.I have exhibited in my local theatre twice and was very successful with sales and further commissions. Many of my paintings have been sold around the world including USA,Norway and Australia plus UK of course.....I have a very wide subject matter including Rock stars landscapes, animals ,surrealism Flowers motorcycles, steam trains ,oil and acrylic paintings plus resin sculptures.
It is such a massive buzz to know that some one actually wants to buy a painting and to think it will give them pleasure to have.In this vein I did a painting of a horses head and sold through artgallery and sent a note to the buyer thanking them and hoping they liked it and she relied saying she walked past it every day and it made her happy...great !!!!!!!!!!
