Artistic background

Whilst growing up in Portugal, I became fascinated by the power of art to express complex emotions and to connect with others on a deeper level. Despite this passion, I chose to pursue a career in social work as I was also interested in understanding human behaviour and recovery. Currently, I work with people experiencing homelessness, and I create art in my spare time.

It wasn't until recently that I truly began to explore my artistic side in a more meaningful way. A visit from a personal coach and friend prompted me to question my own passion for art and to start taking it more seriously. At the same time, my best friend in Portugal had decided to change her career and pursue her own passion, which inspired me to do the same. I realized that life is too short to ignore the things that truly make us happy, and that pursuing our passions is an essential part of living a fulfilling life.

Now, as an artist, I'm able to use my creativity and my passion to connect with others on matters that are important to us. For me, art is a way to explore the beauty of nature and the complexity of the world. Through my abstract pieces of work, I seek to capture the essence of human experience, feelings of fragmentation of self, my passion for nature and mountaineering, and the magnificence of the universe. I believe that art has the power to heal, to inspire, and to bring us together in a shared experience of beauty, meaning, and change.

In my artwork, you will see mountains, clouds, water, animals, plants, or trees. They reflect the importance of protecting nature. You will also see and feel texture, shape, patterns, and colours that reflect my interest in the organic and the geometric.
