Artistic background

Victoria’s work focuses on abstract painting techniques as well as contemporary art combined with the basis of traditional media and techniques. The good old canvas, cardboard, but also paper or wooden boards are painted with acrylics and mixed media, water colours, charcoal, crayons and coloured pencil etc. However, she also uses unusual media such as the sand of the beach in her immediate vicinity.

Victoria also works on collages consisting of various materials, such as gold and silver foils, fragments from any printed media and fiberglass montages. Her paintings are usually powerful and either strongly structured – which she is developing more and more – or flowing in shapes and colours.

I grew up in a family of writing, music and all kinds of interest in art in general. At the beginning there was a love of literature, which was brought to me through appropriate training and further education. So, I was already making up stories at a young age. But how my life changed after I discovered painting. A new medium that I completely absorbed. Colours, shapes and the techniques themselves fascinated me. With the support of my art teacher, I was able to develop my style and the desire to experiment often led to surprising reactions from those around me.
However, I decided to include photography in my artistic work because it gave me an expressive medium that ultimately opened up another level of development.
