Plants it must be said are one of my main interests. It’s the way they grow, the colour and the form of leaves and seedheads. I take many photographs of plants and trees and weirdly remember where most of them were taken over the years.

I continually wonder at real natural forms and hope to inspire a similar sense of wonder in others through my work.
Sometimes people will react to my collage plant prints and say “But they are just photos”
Well, yes, they certainly started out that way ( all my own photogaphs by the way!) and we can all take photos can’t we? I certainly don’t think of myself as a photographer as such - that requires skills I don’t have! I feel that my skill as an artist lies in the idea, the search and most importantly postproduction as well, of course, eventually in the assemblage of the elements to make a pleasing whole. I spend a long time editing the images, removing what I don’t need and a similarly lengthy time re-arranging the eventual image.
I make my images to be looked into as well as looked at – following an historical tradition of attention to detail.
If anyone would be interested in buying the ‘one off’ or original of any edition that still has ten available please contact me and I can arrange this by altering the site – price would be £1000
As the output is digital the only option is to make prints and I hope that by severely limiting each edition to 10 prints that I add value to the individual pieces.10!
And another advantage of the digital process is that I can offer either light or dark backgrounds - all prints are giclee pigment printed on best paper so Fine Art definition…….
