Jon Tyrrell

Artistic background

I originally qualified as an Architectural Technologist in 1983 but my interest in art and design lead me to study further and qualify as a chartered architect in 1990. Graduating from Portsmouth University with a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Architecture in 1986 I then went on to graduate with Distinctions in Portfolio, Thesis, and overall Diploma in Architecture in 1989. I have been a Director of UK company MTA Chartered architects from 1990 to 2022. I am now pursuing my own venture.  I continues to work as an chartered architect but also with my other creative interests as an artist as well.
I have recently had my first exhibition at Hotwall's Studio's in Portsmouth and have now submitted my first piece of work to the Royal Academy of Arts for their 2025 summer exhibition.

I am a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
 and registered with the ​Architects Registration Board (ARB)
