Description
An original watercolour picture in portrait format, on Bockingford watercolour paper 90lbs.
Taking centre stage is a newly completed, bright red buttocked Auroch, together with two Tarpans or wild horses. The cromagnon artist is proud of what he has achieved, his handprint is clear to see.
Questions may be asked, did stone age culture have access to red pigment?
Well...why not? Non of us where there then, the mystery remains.
It is so titled, as the bright red rump was inspired by a catalan artist, Joan Miro.
If You like what You see, get it, it is an unusal and eye catching picture.
Aurochs by the way are the ancestors of most domestic cattle and were plentiful in eurasia until the collapse of the mega fauna, 30,000+ years ago. A few did survive in Poland until the end of the eighteenth century.
