This is a pastel painting of Deer shading themselves under an old oak tree on a hot summers day. I was inspired to capture this idilic scene as the stag was standing there in all his glory, a magnificent beast, protecting his females. The male stag is looking out while his females are resting in the shade. This is an artwork of the beautiful Richmond Park where there is a herd of protected deer. It is quite a detailed artwork and is mounted on a white mount and a modern black wooden frame under glass.
