Description
This is a painting in my new series of smaller pieces depicting close detail from some of Hieronymus Bosch’s most notable works but applying my own colours and art techniques.
This has been taken from the central panel to The Haywain Triptych. This panel features a large wagon of hay surrounded by a multitude of fools engaged in a variety of sins. The section I have depicted are of various figures packed together in front of a rock pinnacle. They are not human, but strange creatures some with long snouts, a large fish, a deer with antlers and several demons. These are leading everyone into the right panel of the triptych that is depicting sinners entering into hell.
Hieronymus Bosch is known for his paintings of amazing and wonderful pictures. He was one of the first European painters to paint about everyday life. He let the horrors he saw each day spill out onto his painting, which was creative and different for his period.
Perfect for adding a statement piece to living spaces that may create a talking point with visitors.
Executed in excellent quality acrylic paints, painted on all sides, and finished with a glaze of gloss varnish to protect against sunlight and dust. It just needs a nail or wall fitting to sit flush against the wall.
You will receive a signed certificate of authenticity.
The painting is 16 x 12 inches in size and is on stretched canvas.
All art is professionally packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. My works have been shipped worldwide.
About me:
I am a painter, mostly in oils although I have begun to switch between oils and acrylics.
I love to paint, love colours, shapes’, and textures. I love the idea that a different story can be read into each of my paintings and each viewer may interpret a story different to another.
