River Beaulieu, near Beaulieu Village Oil

Small, original, plein air, oil painting of the Beaulieu River near village called Beaulieu in the sout of England, Hampshire.

Painting is made on a panel aprox. 6x8 inches (15x20 cm) primed with 3 layers of high quality gesso and 1 layer of GOLDEN GAC 100 primer to prevent sinking of colour over the time, where pigment would otherwise loose the crisp look due to loss of oils contained in the paint. That will ensure the bright and fresh appearance of oil paint over the long period of time.

All my paintings are always treated with thin layer of protective varnish after they dry and they are signed and sold unframed. All materials are archival.
