Waterfall Folly in the Woods Oil

This painting took about six weeks to complete. I was inspired to capture it when I noticed the sun illuminating at the top of the waterfall. This meant returning every day at the same time to complete the piece. I painted in my studio prepared oils for superior pigment and texture but the transportation was a challenge. Being a long way from the road, I used my bicycle and trailer to transport the painting and equipment! It was lovely meeting so many appreciative passers-by.
