Description
The kingfisher is a very beautiful bird with his electric blue head, orange/brown body and white throat. The bill is long and pointed, adapted well for catching fish and the eye is big and bright, needed for spotting the fish. The feet are small and mostly comprise of claws for holding onto branches.
I gave the background to this painting a watery effect with a few water reeds to balance the bird.
Painted on a birch board, this painting can be framed or hung as it is. I have left the sides unpainted to show the beauty of the wood. There is a hanging wire on the back.
