Description
Spirit of the Outdoors, Blue Door from Pontefract is an original pencil drawing inspired by the romantic abundance of flowers in my city's cottage gardens.
Galvanised by the vast outdoors, I discover many exciting places on my walks with my pet Harvey. This blue door is one of these spots. On a sunny day, I saw it and was immediately smitten by the door, overgrown with garden plants. So I photographed the scene, made a small sketch too, finished the drawing in the studio, and here you see the result.

Bristol paper by Fabriano, professional-grade colour pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, a few strokes with acrylics, final fixative for coloured pencil artwork
