Description

Oil on canvas image of a waiter with tray in the Piazza San Marco Venice. This painting is one of a series of this subject highlighting the contrast between the dazzling white of the jacket against the shadow of the buildings. The reflected light is seen in the face of the figure. The tray which is clearly balanced by the left hand (which is not shown). The painting is of square format and is mounted within a 'floating' white frame.
