This is a framed landscape painting. It features mountains, a loch and wildflowers in the Cairngorms, Scotland. I have painted the sky using sweeping, fast brushstrokes. The mountains have been completed by applying thick layers of paint and then scraping some of the paint off in order to apply another layer. The wildflowers are abstract in nature and I've used a painting knife to give the impression of volume and density.
