This is a surreal interpretation of the boundaries of what we perceive as reality and the the true underlying chaos of creation as defined by quantum physics which shows us that things are sometimes solid and sometimes not. Reality is represented by the balcony, owl and fern like plants. At this boundary sits the "Princess of Chaos" who guards the transition to the quantum realm behind her.
