Description
In this painting, I aimed to blend the boundaries of reality and imagination, mixing styles like expressionism, surrealism, and a hint of realism. The dramatic blue tones create a moody atmosphere, while the striking red burst symbolizes disruption in an otherwise orderly scene. My use of oil paints enhances the dream-like quality, invoking a sense of mystery and unease. This artwork beckons viewers to question the norms and explore the depths of their perceptions. The men at the base of the building are in the dark, their faces unclear, giving them anonymity. However, their clothing and their position in front of the building could represent them being part of a white-collar crime group- hence the title of the painting, "predators". Often those involves in white-collar crime can hide themselves behind the big-named organisations they work for. The surreal and abstract star-like object in the background is a source of light, as if to shine light on the criminals and expose them.
