Description
A favourite haunt of mine since boyhood. The old mill consists of the restored tower of the 18c windmill, the grain store and the old tide mill built in the 19c. These were all restored in the 1930s for the new owner Dame Flora Twork, the painter.
Neville Shute the novelist was a frequent house guest, and spent the war years living there, writing
I have painted Langstone many times in different moods. There is something about the age and atmosphere of the place
