Hollyhocks Oil

A pastel painting of purple/red hollyhocks. The background is a mixture of soft colours giving an effect of grey, which is a perfect foil to the darker, high-chroma reds and purples in the flowers. The sunlight from above catches on the leaves and the upward-facing buds of the hollyhocks, whereas the flowers are mostly in shadow.
The painting is framed behind glass with an off-white mount and oak-effect wood frame.
I will ship this ready-to-hang piece in a cardboard box.
