Underwater I

I was going for another sea related subject, because I achieved a lovely mixture of blue and green that reminded me to underwater life. Using the knife to create waves came out really well, and even if it is a little bit direct, I think the splatters and colour saturations tame them back to a nicely harmonising composition. I purposely pressed the knife stronger to reveal the texture of the canvas, but keeping the colour in its place in the same time, letting some excess on the edges of the knife to emphasise the wave element. With the white spots the bubbling is almost hearable, and the whole look can match with any seaside interior.

Finished with satin varnish, signed and dated on the back. Please note this is an unmounted and unframed work and will be shipped safely in a tube with certificate of authenticity.
