Artistic background

I am from The Vale of Glamorgan, and I create original acrylic and oil abstract paintings and artwork for modern interiors. I love exploring shapes, textures and colour combinations that are matching with moodboards and set colours of living rooms, home offices and studies based on my clients’ requirements.

I started my journey with my own living room. After we moved in and re-decorated our living space, the walls and rooms were quite empty, and we needed something. With having more wall spaces than before, I had a thought of having something original, colourful, larger than a regular A4 and A3 size I normally work with, so I had a go on a couple of A2 sizes and 70 cm x 90 cm canvases. Living relatively close to the sea, I loved the idea of achieving a look that reminds us to the water, has a dynamic flow of brush strokes, and mixing in some teal, blues whites and greens.
This is how our main piece was born, and still have its prominent place above the mantelpiece.

Decorative Freedom
… so making abstract paintings became a constant passion project for me. I painted for friends, prepared unique and different sets for creative markets, and started to sell my artwork online as well.
My main goal with my art is to fill emptiness with a creation that includes creative expression, a game of colours and shapes, and the unique contributing thoughts of my clients. When people approach me with their imagination of something that is difficult to explain, like e. g. “I want something geometric, but not too pointy”, or they drop in ideas and adjectives I can work with, painting turns into an interesting flow of team work.

Values
I believe that decorative and unique original art should be available and affordable for everyone. In the age when artists are competing with artificial intelligence and computer generated images, it is a value to be surrounded with something human, something real.

With my art I want to promote real art. Those brush strokes which came to life via feelings, discussions, one’s glimpse-like impressions. Those patterns that the owner can touch, run their fingers on, and even smell the unique fragrance of the paints and the wooden frames of the canvas.
