Enlightened Acrylic

Painted on a deep edge canvas, using acrylic paint and finishing off with gold metallic leaf, 'Enlightened' has an uplifting atmospheric feel to its appearance.  It was inspired by a bible verse in the book of Ephesians 1:18 which describes a prayer for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened.  Through many translucent layers being applied, a delicate sense was achieved depicting the imagination coming alive with the increase of understanding.  A splattering of gold paint and gold leaf was added on the last layer.
