Flames on Green, 2023.

This piece was painted during the time of lock down as a hopeful promise to go out to the woods again sometime. When we have time, and all the stars are visible for a beautiful Milky Way shot, we often cross woods and forests in the night to reach the perfect viewpoint or backdrop. These walks – sometimes in the pitch black – bringing a very special atmosphere. Walking in the nature surrounded by small, cautious sounds of nocturnal animals, seeing cottages’ lights between dark trees that act like flames for the eyes which got used to the dark, and the cold smell of the black earth and leaves under our feet.

Finished with satin varnish, signed and dated on the back. Please note this is an unmounted and unframed work and will be shipped safely in a tube with certificate of authenticity.
