Description
I have always admired the majesty of the red deer stag often called the Monarch of the Glen, with his strong sturdy antlers towering above him and his pose alert, nose up and ready to run if he smells danger. He can't see very well and so his nose is the most important tool he has to alert him of potential danger.
I chose to paint this beautiful stag as he offers a great example of such a pose and a real joy to paint.
An original painting, painted on professional artist cotton watercolour paper with the highest quality watercolour paints and finished off with artists coloured pencils.
NB: This painting is supplied unmounted without a frame.
The frame shown in the photos is to give you an idea of how your painting could look once it has been framed and hung on the wall.
