Description
Part of my ‘Godesses and Gods’ collection. It is one of the few pieces that I’ve included a political theme in. It depicts the state of the medical care in a 3rd world country such as SA. It plays on irony as those in government positions who are responsible for the funding of state hospitals, think themselves as Goddesses and Gods, but are corrupt. The people of SA struggle daily to receive good quality health care. Those that should think themselves Goddesses and Gods are the hundreds of doctors who work tirelessly day in and day out to provide the best possible health care with what they are given, to state hospital patients. Yet they are grossly underpaid and work a minimum of 100 hours per week.
