Description
A small reproduction of the famous Minoan Dolphin Fresco from the Palace of Knossos on the island of Crete.
This fresco dates from around 3,500 years ago.
Dolphins were much revered by the ancient Greeks & Romans and given prominence in many works of art.
This has been painted onto a shaped and carved 12mm MDF panel.
Prior to painting the artwork, the MDF panel has been given numerous coats of primer, front, back & edges, and the surface has been texturised.
The finished artwork has also been protected with three coats of flat matt acrylic varnish that also includes a UV protection filter.
The artwork is signed on the back and includes a Certificate of Authenticity as well as hanging instructions, hanging brackets (one fixed on the back of the panel and one to fix to your wall) and solid wall fixings.
When displayed on the wall the piece will float about 15mm from the wall surface and no fixings will be visible. No frame is needed.
The artwork will be carefully wrapped in polythene sheeting and bubble wrap and then
packed in cardboard boxes ready for delivery.
