This sculpture is showing a patient young woman in late pregnancy, waiting, hoping all will go well at the birth of her child. Evoking empathy from many women who have experienced the carrying of a child.
Worked in terracotta clay, fired and then patinated in various polishes and stains to reach colour desired.
Mounted on a base of solid waxed wood.
This piece is approximately half life size, and the base measurements are 44 x 45 .
