Heaven Touching Earth Acrylic

'Heaven Touching Earth' was inspired by a beautiful beach seen in North Norfolk. In addition to this inspiration I wanted to capture the idea/feeling/experience of those moments of tangibly seeking and sensing the presence of God's Spirit meeting with us here on earth. I know I could never fully depict the beauty of HIs glory, but I can at least attempt to give a glimpse of the experience expressing this through using colour and movement of paint.
I often use gold and also purple paint to symbolise God's Majesty. I've used both colours in differing ways across the area of the canvas.
The painting has several areas that are textured, including the use of a little sand mixed with the paint. The use of texture and the many translucent layers of paint work together giving the picture depth and interest.
This painting was painted with the use of acrylic paint and was painted on a deep edge canvas.
