ST. JEAN DE LUZ, FRANCE. Framed Oil

Whilst travelling in south west France, Elizabeth came upon the lovely little coastal town of Saint Jean de Luz. Typical of France with a picturesque port and wonderful light it inspired this artist to set up her easel and, though a storm approached, she managed to capture the horizon of rocky pier before it arrived and completed in her studio. Elizabeth has used a textured technique to add depth to the rocks whilst the dramatic sky is blended with a smooth brush and using a palette of blues and cadmium yellows. f Painted on wood panel and framed in a smooth matt white moulding, ready to hang. The sizes indicate the overall measurements with the frame.
