Samurai Steve Mixed Media

‘Samurai Steve’ was inspired by a family member who works in the Martial Arts sector. This artwork contains elements of the sector eg. Samurai Warrior, family coat of arms, lanterns and various others which are buried within the line art.

Although there are a variety of soft curved fine lines in ‘Samurai Steve’, I
have introduced more straight, heavy lines in this piece to compliment the theme. The black and red colour palette is adherently aesthetically powerful, as ‘red’ associates with and represents life and fire, and black, a dark grounding force.

The artist hand paints her logo to represent a modern finish to her artworks which is consistent throughout her portfolio.
