Description
This artwork is about fragility of our life. The artist remembered the short story "The pit and the pendulum" by Edgar Allan Poe. This artwork is not an illustration to this story, it is improvisation on the theme. However, the shape of pendulum is following the Poe description - it is constructed like a scythe and is making a razor-sharp crescent... but this part is flipped. The hourglass (this element can be found in many artist's works) is counting time of our being.
