A Starry Night for Animals Oil

Apart from Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel the Elder I have also admired the works of Van Gogh and often think about the way he had suffered with mental illness for most of his life.
This piece has been based on the landscape used on Van Gogh’s famous ‘Starry Night’ painting. To add my influence on this I added a polar bear and tiger and painted them brightly contrasting with the dark background.
Through the relationship between the various elements within the work hints of narrative and representation may emerge.
Perfect for adding a statement piece to living spaces that may create a talking point with visitors.
Executed in good quality oil paints, painted on all sides, and finished with a glaze of gloss varnish to protect against sunlight and dust. It just needs a nail or wall fitting to sit flush against the wall.
