Light Through the Mist Acrylic

'Light Through the Mist' was inspired by a woodland scene by the coast on an autumn day. Sea mist descended through the trees causing a misty view, yet light still broke through the mist. This painting was painted with a loose and semi-abstract style, so that the essence of the scene was portrayed, along with a sense that the finished painting would give an atmospheric feel to any room that it's hung in. Texture and many layers were applied to achieve this.
Gold paint and gold metallic leaf were used on the final layers to depict the light shining on the golden, autumnal leaves in the trees. It is painted on a deep edge canvas with the painting wrapping around the sides. The painting is ready to hang.
