Bessie Oil

This is an original oil painting of a beautiful collie dog. I love the look of distance in her eyes and wonder what she might have been looking at. I enjoy painting dogs but this was a special one for me because she looks so serene and beautiful. I like the contrast of the clear image of the collie against the blurred background because it seems to bring her out of the painting and closer to us.

This painting has been produced using artist grade oil paint on canvas board. A coat of professional grade art varnish has been applied to optimise the colour and protect the painting from dust, UV light and other environmental factors. The painting is provided in a handmade wooden frame (pine) and is fitted with picture wire, ready to hang. The painting is signed on the front and will be shipped with the Certificate of Authenticity.

The painting measures 12" x 16" (30.45 x 40.64 cm)
