Description
In this painting I have adopted the technique of Gerhard Richter with his use of squeegy and palette knife to apply oil paint to the canvas. By applying layers of paint ,scraping back and applying further layers you can achieve some interesting effects. The squeegy when moved across the canvas picks up paint from previous layers and redistributes on other parts of the painting creating an almost random effect as though it has been achieved accidently. I enjoy the vibrancy ,interesting shapes and forms that are created .
