Description
Scottish Landscape With a Tree, Stones, a Road, and Green Grass is an original, realistic drawing.
I was walking down this road on a sunny day in Scotland. It was on the Isle of Skye, close to Carbost, where the famous Talisker Distillery is situated. I was admiring the peaceful landscape as the tree asked me to be captured in my sketchbook. Yes, I felt so as the tree wanted to be painted :-). So I did it. I sketched and photographed. Later in the studio, I finished the drawing/painting. Did you know that you can paint with coloured pencils?
Materials: sanded heavy, specialist paper, grade 800 from Uart, Artists' quality, coloured pencils "Polychromos" by Faber-Castell, Derwent's Studio Pencils, a few coats of varnish for drawings for protection
Style: realism inspired by Impressionism
Size: 30.5 x 22.85 x 0.2 cm; the artwork itself is 29 x 21.2 cm; this leads to a white margin around the image as a preparation for a mounting mat
The drawing is not framed.
The 2nd and 3rd photographs show examples of this artwork in a frame and hanging on various walls.
